About Us | Salient Genomics

Salient Genomics is a modern and newly equipped facility established and led by Dr. Tracy Kim. We provide consulting support for your experimental design, as well as consulting for extraction techniques, and sample quality analysis services. We provide NextGen sequencing, microarray and qPCR services and support. We can also provide data output bioinformatics and biostatistics analysis support. We work with sequencing platforms including the Illumina NovaSeq, the Illumina NextSeq 550 sequencing system, and an Illumina MiSeq Desktop sequencing system, and we choose the appropriate platform according to your sequencing design needs.  For quality control and DNA/RNA quanitificatoin, we use the Agilent 4200 TapeStation the Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer, a Qubit 4.0 Fluorometer, and a NanoDrop One Spectrophotometer. We employ numerous library preparation methods to support a multitude of sequencing needs, including metagenomics and whole genome, transcriptome, exome, and targeted-region-of-interest sequencing.

Upon completion of your sequencing run, we will demultiplex the run by sample and convert the files from BCL to Fastq format. The sequencing files will then be delivered to you through a secure cloud storage site and/or an external storage device.
